About Leap Miles

Dear Client

The idea of Leap Miles and career development coaching was born in 2010. I had just secured a part time job for three days a week, and finally the opportunity of having two whole working days to focus on developing my own business in careers coaching. Since graduating with a BA Hons in Information Management and Finance in 1997, I decided I didn’t really fancy a job in the financial sector.  I no longer had the passion.  And after struggling through two exams in business statistical equations, I realised I wasn’t very good at maths.  However, as I reflected on my work history since leaving school, I did realise how good I was at changing jobs – 16 jobs in 20 years.

Now not being much of a numbers boffin I’m guessing I changed jobs on average, every one and a quarter years.  Feel free to email me if this is incorrect.  And I nominate myself as poster model for any ‘No Job is for Life’ advertising campaign.

I now have a varied and valuable work history spanning 20 years in employability support, advice and guidance, group facilitation and training, coaching, mentoring, youth work, project support and management, writing, recruitment, public relations and customer services.

My journey of different jobs eventually brought me to coaching, where I am now utilising my portfolio of skills to its full potential.

I created Leap Miles to aid clients in using some time to establish their desired career and vocation in life and secure the job that fulfills their goals. I wanted clients to enjoy the process too. So the Leap Miles ‘Coffee Room’ Facebook page provides you with a lively one stop meeting place where you can receive some valuable advice from managers, employers, coaches and your fellow career and job seekers. In the Coffee Room, you can also share your experience of your journey in achieving and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

And if you want some targeted support in finding the right job, whether that is simply having your CV written, receiving interview coaching or some intensive personal coaching to help you find the right career, then please get in touch with me for a free consultation.

Enjoy, and good luck in your job hunting!
